Utility Inventory and Asset Management Planning and Resources Carolyn Grieves of Baxter and Woodman will talk about planning for development or enhancement of an existing utility inventory and asset management program. She will provide basic guidance for getting started as well as an overview of the various tools available to organize, maintain, and use your asset inventory.
Integration of Asset Management Into Your GIS Jeremy Smith of the Village of Palatine will talk about how GIS supports your asset inventory and management program and is a valuable tool for linking other community resources and providing a user-friendly platform for municipal staff to access and visualize your assets.
Practical Applications of Asset Management Steve Mullany of the Village of Arlington Heights will talk about their experience implementing and using an asset management program. Steve will provide an on-the-ground perspective of the value and operational use of an asset management program as well as some of the challenges they have faced.
Field Data Collection and GIS Integration Karol Giokas of RJN Group will talk about field applications of data collection and data retrieval into and back out of an asset management system and the practical in-the-field user applications.
